On Tuesday June 9 2020, Royal Caribbean announced that, due to the COVID-19 outbreak they will be postponing all “Royal Amplification” ship upgrades until further notice.
They have updated the itineraries of Allure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas.
The Allure of the Seas Amplification has been postponed until further notice. Due to pier construction delays in the Galveston terminal, (which Royal Caribbean received approval to delay the building) the pier will unfortunately not be ready to accommodate an Oasis Class ship. Because of this, Allure of the Seas will no longer sail from Galveston, Texas. Liberty of the Seas will take over Allure of the Seas itineraries in late 2021.
The Explorer, Adventure and Liberty of the Seas Amplifications have also been postponed until further notice. Due to completing a technical dry dock, all Explorer sailings will be cancelled through August 2020.
Guests on affected sailings will be notified directly by the cruise line.
